Life in the Cultural Quarter ![]() Sally created a one-off, three dimensional, life-size installation entirely from recycled paper and cardboard, communicating of course a simple sustainability message about the whole development. Split into two sections, the first was a ‘miniature Leicester’, with ‘apartment windows’ carved out of the over-looking structure surrounding it. This was designed to illustrate the connection between the city centre and the office studios and workspace units at Phoenix Square – and was inspired by the view Sally experienced from the roof terrace of one of the show homes at the development. The second section was designed to depict rooms of a Phoenix Square home a kitchen, a bedroom and dining area containing real furniture and appliances. Sally said: “I enjoyed the challenge of creating this installation to give people an impression of what it might be like to live in the stunning apartments in Phoenix Square. The building is really inspirational as is the effort everyone involved is making to bring it to life. I’m so pleased to be a part of it and hope people will want to explore it when it launches.” ‘Life in the Cultural Quarter’ is now installed in our marketing suite for future visitors to enjoy.
