House hunters can get up close on Trent Basin site visits

House hunters who are interested in contemporary waterside living are able to get exclusive access to the first phase of development at Trent Basin, Nottingham Waterside, through a series of specially organised site visits over the coming months.

Blueprint Regeneration, the sustainable regeneration property developers behind Trent Basin, are organising regular site visits through agents FHP Living and Royston & Lund for people who are interested in getting a feel for the new neighbourhood.

Nick Ebbs, chief executive of Blueprint, said: “Phase One is heading towards completion in early summer and four homes have already been reserved including the only 5 bed home and the most expensive property in this phase. The site team is firing on all cylinders and we are now in a position to facilitate site visits for interested parties wanting to see the new street at Trent Basin.

“You can get a great view of the development if you are on the south banks of the River Trent by the Hook, but coming on site will provide an up-close view of how it is transforming this part of the Waterside neighbourhood. The views from Trent Basin across the river really are impressive and a real USP for the homes and the community.”

Trent Basin is the first phase of development that is kick-starting regeneration at Nottingham’s 250 acre Waterside area and will comprise 500 homes. A total of 3,000 new homes are earmarked for construction across the Waterside area and are set to transform this part of Nottingham. The vision is to connect the city with this underused, yet valuable, asset to build a new community at Waterside.

Drawing on the industrial heritage of the site and its inland dock, Trent Basin is unique in that it blends the history of the area with the new attractive environment being created along the River Trent. It boasts nearly a kilometre of water frontage along the river and draws inspiration from other European waterside developments.

Close to West Bridgford, the city and open spaces at Colwick, Trent Basin has a mix of apartments and houses for young professionals or those looking to upsize or downsize. Help to Buy is also available at Trent Basin, meaning that buyers can purchase with only a 5 per cent mortgage.

As with all the properties at Trent Basin, the 45 homes in Phase One are designed with ‘fabric first’ principles to maximise the use of natural light and promote sustainable low energy living. Properties in Phase One will comprise:

  • Eight 2-bedroom apartments
  • Two 3-bedroom duplex apartments
  • Two 2-bedroom homes
  • Twelve 3-bedroom homes
  • Twenty 4-bedroom homes and
  • One 5-bedroom home which has been reserved
  • Prices start from £225,000 and reservations can now be made
