About us

Blueprint is a developer that specialises in the development of sustainable homes and sustainable workspaces. We are a private limited company wholly owned by Aviva Investors’ igloo Regeneration Fund and Nottingham City Council.

Delivering sustainable regeneration projects

Blueprint has a track record of delivering low energy, design led development projects.

Responsible for some of the most critically heralded property developments in the region, Blueprint is the developer behind No.1 Nottingham Science Park, Phoenix Square in Leicester, and Green Street in Nottingham.

Passionate about great design and genuine sustainability, we’re not just about new buildings. We’re about new homes, new work spaces, new opportunity, and new places. We’re about delivering fair financial returns to our investors, the people who help us to make it all happen.

The council is the city’s largest employer and plays a pivotal role in the its ongoing transformation to become a great place to live, work and do business; creating a successful sustainable 21st century European city.

The council works with a range of private and public partners to create thriving communities which offer a range of housing and commercial opportunities to meet the needs of its current and future citizens.

The igloo Regeneration Fund is a partnership of pension, life and charity funds managed by Aviva Investors, which invests in sustainable urban regeneration across the UK, either directly or via joint venture vehicles.

igloo invests in UK mixed-use real estate through sustainable place-making in partnership with the public sector and local communities. All of igloo's investments are screened with its pioneering Sustainable Investment Policy, Footprint.

Blueprint has adopted igloo’s Sustainable Investment policy, ‘Footprint’®. Recognised by the United Nations as market-leading, Footprint ensures Blueprint’s developments are sustainable, in the widest sense: that they are well designed, that they are kind on the environment, and that they create great places for people to enjoy, both now and in the future.

The Four Themes of Footprint

Projects must contribute to the long term social, physical and economic renewal of urban neighbourhoods.

Environmental Sustainability

Patterns of resource use must not compromise the sustainability of environmental systems.

Urban Design

Design of buildings and public realm should be distinctive, functional and urban in character.

Health, Happiness and Wellbeing

Investing in people and communities in order to change lives and realise potential.
