Fruit Market development moves into the next phase with new CGIs
New images of Blueprint’s Fruit Market development have been released that provide an exciting first glimpse of this innovative project.
Fruit Market is a townhouse development in the heart of Nottingham city centre. The first phase of 13 homes follows a low-energy, design-led ethos and will be completely gas-free, with air source heat pumps and underfloor heating, making the scheme one of the most energy-efficient, future-proofed housing developments in the city. Work started on site in the summer of 2022, and the first homes will be ready in early 2024.
The development got its name as it sits adjacent to what used to be Sneinton wholesale fruit and veg market – an area that has been transformed in recent years and is now home to one of Nottingham’s most popular communities, full of independent shops, café’s, pubs, art galleries and a refurbished leisure centre.
The new computer-generated images of Fruit Market showcase the architecture of the development on Brook Street, with the townhouses featuring large windows to create natural light alongside a contemporary brick aesthetic. A number of the homes have already been snapped up by purchasers and Blueprint has worked closely with these future homeowners from an early stage to customise their homes.
One of the highlights of the Fruit Market development will be the shared courtyard garden, where homeowners can relax and socialise, enjoying the peaceful nature surroundings. Throughout the design process, the architects at Fruit Market, renowned local firm Letts Wheeler, have put a real focus on the relationship between private and communal spaces to maximise the amenities available to future residents.
